Centiki Share Auctions

Centiki auctions let players compete directly for virtual company shares while escrow protects listings, bids, refunds, and settlement.

Creating a listing

A seller chooses a company, a share quantity, a starting price, and an ending time. The listed shares move into escrow immediately and cannot be used elsewhere while the auction is active.

A listing with fewer than 100 shares carries a 1 KI upfront fee. The fee is charged when the listing is created and is not refunded.

Open ascending bids

Each valid new bid must exceed the current price by at least 0.01 KI. The bidder also chooses the number of shares requested. Price and quantity are separate parts of the bid.

The KI required for the complete bid is held in escrow. This prevents the same KI from being committed to another action while the bid remains active.

Buy Now

A seller may set a Buy Now price. The option remains available only until the first valid bid is placed. Once bidding begins, Buy Now is disabled and cannot return for that auction.

How winners are selected

At closing, bids are ranked from the highest price to the lowest. When two bids have the same price, the earlier bid receives priority. Allocations continue in that order until the available shares are exhausted.

Settlement and refunds

Winning allocations settle at the final auction price. If a winner committed more KI than the final allocation requires, the excess is refunded. Losing bids are refunded in full.

Unsold shares return to the seller. The seller receives the proceeds from completed allocations minus a 1% settlement fee.

Cancellation rules

An auction with no bids may be eligible for cancellation under the game rules. Once a valid bid exists, the auction cannot be canceled. The restriction protects bidders after they have committed KI.

What to check before bidding

Confirm the company, quantity, bid price, time remaining, and total KI placed in escrow. Winning an auction is not automatically a gain; the final price still has to fit the player’s own strategy.

Centiki is a fictional economic strategy game. Its KI, shares, prices, auctions, and financial systems are virtual and have no guaranteed real-world value. Authenticated features require users to be at least 18 years old.
